What are descriptive statistics? What is a measure of central tendency? What is a measure of dispersion? You should have a basic understanding of what the various measures of central tendency and dispersion mean. If provided with a question, you should be able to identify the appropriate measure of central tendency and dispersion (meaning you need to know the level of measurement of the question).
If provided with a scenario, you should be able to choose the appropriate analytical technique (using the charts I provided in class).
You should be able to interpret SPSS output and answer questions related to significance and research findings for each of the following:
Crosstab with a chi-square
One-sample t-test
Paired samples t-test
Independent samples t-test
One-way ANOVA
If provided with a questionnaire, data analyses and any other provided information, you should be able to summarize the findings of the study and make conclusions and recommendations.
